Lasers for Nightclubs, Weddings and Mobile DJs
A wedding laser light show with the couple’s names, beams that move to the music and quick battery setup for clubs and mobile DJs. Find your LaserCube.
Wedding laser light show, nightclub and mobile DJ lasers
A LaserCube brings a laser light show to a wedding, a club night or a mobile DJ set. It runs on its own battery, packs into the case that comes with it, and setup takes under 5 minutes.
For a wedding laser light show, project the couple’s names, initials or wedding date with the Text app in LaserOS, in any font. Import your own monogram or logo as an SVG file, and use the Trace effect to make it draw itself. LaserOS also comes with free ready-made wedding content, and the Pro and Ultra MK2 have a Wedding category among their built-in laser shows.
For nightclub laser shows and DJ sets, every LaserCube reacts to music. The Pro and Ultra MK2 have a built-in microphone and sound-reactive visualizers that run on the cube itself, with no laptop. LaserOS can also run on the same laptop as your DJ software.
At a glance:
- Battery: up to 4 hours (Ultra MK2) or up to 3 hours (Pro and WiFi), and it charges while it plays on its charger
- Your own text, logos and animations from the free LaserOS app
- Built-in laser shows from the microSD card and sound-reactive visualizers on the Pro and Ultra MK2
- A MIDI controller such as the APC40 MK II or APC mini MK II plugs straight into the Pro and Ultra MK2
Plan the room before the party
Guests will fill the room, so plan where every beam goes before the party starts.
- Mount or place the cube so every beam stays at least 3 m (10 ft) above the floor wherever people may be. Set the beam block with the cube off and the key out, so nothing scans into the crowd or onto the dance floor.
- Aim beams at a ceiling, a wall or a backdrop at least 3 m (10 ft) up, and project names and logos onto a wall above the guests. Never at people, mirrors or windows.
- Use a little haze or fog: beams in the air show best with it, and thin haze gives the clearest beams. Big venues use a full-size fog or haze machine; our Nano Fogger is for smaller spaces.
- Never connect a fog machine to the cube’s DMX ports unless you’re sure it’s true DMX. Many put mains power on their XLR socket, which damages the cube.
- Secure the cube so it can’t be bumped out of position, and use a safety cable when you rig it overhead.
- Whoever runs the laser is responsible for where every beam goes. Keep the cube and its key out of reach of children.
- LaserCube is fully legal and certified worldwide. In the US, LaserCube is certified through X-Laser, and a LaserCube bought in the USA comes with the FDA variance (issued by X-Laser). For public shows, check your local rules too. Every US unit comes with an E-Stop, and its beam won’t turn on without it.
LaserCube is a professional show laser, not a toy: never aim it at people’s eyes, at audiences or at aircraft, and never at anything flammable. More in our safety tips.
Which LaserCube for weddings, clubs and DJs?
The Pro and Ultra MK2 each suit audiences of up to about 1,000 people, and the WiFi up to about 500. For bigger rooms, link several cubes: the Pro and Ultra MK2 sync wirelessly with Cube Link or over Ethernet, Art-Net or DMX, and WiFi cubes through an Ethernet switch.
- Pro 3W or 6W: our most advanced model, for professionals and larger performances, compact and 2.5 kg. The Pro isn’t sold in the USA yet.
- Ultra MK2 6W or 10W: our most powerful model, with full-size XLR DMX and ILDA In and Out. In the USA, the Ultra MK2 is the professional model we sell.
- WiFi 1.2W or 2.5W: the budget option for smaller parties, played from a phone, tablet or computer.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q01How do I create a custom laser show for my wedding?
In the free LaserOS app you can type the couple’s names in any font, import a logo or monogram as an SVG file and play free ready-made wedding content. For a show timed to your first dance, place content along the song on the LaserOS Timeline on a computer.
Our video tutorials and the free LaserCube Academy walk you through it step by step.
Q02Can the LaserCube be used for more than weddings, like a disco party?
Yes. LaserOS has visualizers that react to the music, beam shows, animations, effects and games, and every LaserCube reacts to music. It includes over 7,000 built-in animations, images and interactive content, with themed content for Christmas, Halloween and New Year’s Eve.
Q03Is one LaserCube enough for a mobile DJ or a small nightclub?
It depends on the crowd: a Pro or Ultra MK2 suits audiences of up to about 1,000 people, and a WiFi up to about 500. For bigger crowds, run several cubes in sync. For mobile DJs, the Pro is the smaller of the two professional models: 37% smaller than the Ultra MK2 and 2.5 kg.
Q04Can the wedding laser lights shine on the dance floor?
No. Guests will be on the dance floor, so keep every beam at least 3 m (10 ft) above it and never aim beams down onto it. Aim them at a ceiling or walls above that height, and set the beam block so nothing scans into the crowd.

Q05Can I control the LaserCube from my DJ setup?
LaserOS can run on the same laptop as your DJ software, and SoundSwitch can control the Ultra MK2 and Pro over DMX or Art-Net. A MIDI controller such as the APC40 MK II, plugged into a Pro or Ultra MK2, plays the cube’s playlists and effects with no computer. Our video tutorials show how.
